Annah Bottomley, LMSW

Supervised By: Vanessa Valles, LCSW-S

I have always been drawn to people’s stories, the messy moments, quiet thoughts, and turning points that shape who we are. This curiosity has grown into a deep passion for helping others understand themselves with more compassion and clarity. I work with clients to explore the root causes behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can gain insight, acceptance, and practical tools to move forward with intention and confidence.

Area of Expertise

I support children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, parenting stress, and relationship challenges. I have a special interest in maternal mental health and supporting military families as they navigate the unique challenges of military life. My background in developmental research, early intervention, school social work, residential mental health, and private practice informs my therapeutic approach.

Techniques I Use

I take a holistic, collaborative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. I help clients identify the connections between physical, mental, and emotional health to support overall well-being. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can grow into grounded, resilient versions of themselves.
