As a child, did you ever watch Charlotte’s Web? Remember where Charlotte encourages Wilbur, the little pig, to stay hopeful even when things look bleak?

“Chin up, chin up, put a little laughter in your eyes.

Brave it, save it, show them that you’re strong.”

It’s simple advice, yet so meaningful. Life is full of moments that test our courage. Sometimes, the world feels heavy, and our heads naturally tilt downward — from sadness, stress, or exhaustion. But lifting our chin, even slightly, is an act of quiet strength.

When we look upward, we:

  • Change our perspective — seeing possibilities instead of limits.

  • Stay open to connection — meeting others’ eyes invites understanding.

  • Signal hope — to ourselves and those around us, that we’re still trying.

Healing doesn’t always mean feeling happy right away. Sometimes, it means simply facing the day with gentleness and a little faith that things can get better. One small, intentional movement — looking up — can remind us that hope still lives.

So today, take a deep breath. Straighten your shoulders. Lift your chin.

You’re doing better than you think. And like Charlotte told Wilbur — you’re not alone.
