Annah Bottomley, LMSW

Supervised By: Vanessa Valles, LCSW-S

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to people’s stories, the messy moments, the quiet thoughts, and the turning points that change everything. That curiosity has grown into a deep passion for helping others understand themselves with more compassion and clarity. I support clients in exploring the “why” behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can gain insight, acceptance, and the tools to move forward. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in Texas and South Carolina with a background in developmental research, early intervention, school social work, residential mental health, and private practice.

Area of Expertise

I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, low self-esteem, maternal mental health, parenting, and relational challenges. As a parent and military spouse, I am also invested in supporting military dependents and helping them navigate the unique challenges of military life.

Techniques I Use

I take a holistic, collaborative approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. With younger clients, I incorporate Child-Centered Play Therapy techniques, honoring a child’s natural language of play and innate ability to heal. I also guide clients in exploring how physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health all connect to their well-being. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where my clients can grow into the most grounded, resilient version of themselves.
