Kristen McLaughlin, LCCA
Supervised By: Amaris Sanchez, LPC-S
Raised in Southern California, I developed adaptability and relationship-building skills from moving frequently during my school years. These experiences fueled my desire to care for others and led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree, I spent a transformative year backpacking through 11 countries, which gave me a broad, global perspective on people’s needs. My passion for supporting underprivileged youth in the child welfare system and my pursuit of a childcare administrator license further shaped my counseling approach. Inspired by the quote, "Children ask for love in the most unloving ways," I focus on partnering with parents to support children’s emotional development.
Drawing from both my personal and professional experiences, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals and families to explore their challenges, work through emotional blocks, and foster growth. For those who wish, I also integrate faith-based counseling into the therapeutic process.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, with my family, and prioritizing my personal health.
