Kristen McLaughlin, LCCA
Supervised By: Amaris Sanchez, LPC-S
Raised in Southern California, I moved frequently during my school years, developing adaptability and relationship-building skills. This desire to care for others inspired me to pursue a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree, I spent a year backpacking through 11 countries, gaining a global perspective. Upon my return, I discovered my passion for supporting underprivileged youth in the child welfare system while pursuing my childcare administrator license. Inspired by the quote, "Children ask for love in the most unloving ways," I focus on partnering with parents to support children's development.
I offer counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, attachment issues, depression, emotional dysregulation, trauma, relationship challenges, and PTSD. Drawing from both personal and professional experiences, I provide a safe space for exploring challenges and fostering growth. We can also integrate faith into the counseling process if desired.
Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities, spending time with family, and prioritizing my health.
