Sara Breda, LPC Associate

Supervised By: Amaris Sanchez, LPC-S

I value ensuring that people feel seen, heard, and validated. I am passionate about supporting women through life's transitions and serving as an empathetic partner to anyone facing major adjustments. My goal is to make these periods less lonely and more transformative.

Originally from a small town in Eastern New Mexico, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M and a Master’s in School and Community Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Certified School Counselor.

My experience spans community counseling, school settings, and private practice, where I’ve worked with individuals of all ages. In schools, I honed my skills working with children, parents, and educators, understanding the unique stressors they face. As a parent myself, I recognize the challenges of advocating for children and helping them gain independence.

Techniques I Use

I prioritize meeting clients where they are and allowing them to lead, creating a safe space where they feel in control and comfortable. This collaborative approach enables us to think outside the box and engage in meaningful work. While I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I tailor my methods based on each individual’s needs and preferences.

I often incorporate creative arts—such as music, movement, art, and nature—especially when words fall short. These techniques are particularly effective with children, helping them express themselves comfortably while learning to articulate their feelings. I believe that mental health is just as vital as physical health, and the two are interconnected.
